bhodhisattva mahāsattva 

보리살타마하살타(菩提薩埵摩訶薩埵)라 음역. 

보리살타는 도중생(道衆生)ㆍ각유정(覺有情)이라 번역. 

마하살타는 대중생(大衆生)ㆍ대유정(大有情)이라 번역. 

도과(道果)를 구하는 이를 도중생이라 하니, 

도과를 구하는 이는 성문ㆍ연각에 통하므로 

이들과 구별하기 위하여 다시 대중생이라 한 것. 

또 보살에는 많은 계위(階位)가 있으므로 그 중에 10지(地) 이상의 보살을 표시하기 위하여 

다시 마하살이라 함.((운허_동국역경원사전))

● bhodhisattva mahāsattva 

realization under  real dhāraṇī(dha;ran/i:)-a mystic verse ; true words ; incantation  and  samādhi(sama;dhi)-perfect absorption 

for anupadiśeṣa-nirvāṇa (anupadis;es/a-nirva;n/a)- nirvana without remainder of evey sentient being

namaḥ āryāvalokiteśvarāya svāhā.(나마 아리야발로키테슈와가야 스와하.) 

한역 : 南無 阿唎口耶 婆盧吉帝 爍皤囉夜 娑婆訶. 

음역 : 나무 아리야 바로길제 삭파라야 사바하. 

의역 : 귀의합니다. 성(聖) 관자재에게 귀의합니다
